  • New Observership Processing Smartsheet Form Request

The Visiting Observer Program at Stanford Health Care and Stanford Children’s Health has redesigned the Visiting Observer request and clearance process as of FY2023 to streamline the experience by including greater automation and improving our forms.

Requests should now be submitted via Smartsheet by Hosts or Host delegates with a Stanford affiliated email address through the following link:
    https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/61858f8fd6314326b8714f8b0c0e45ff

Unfortunately, they are unable to review requests that are not submitted by the Host or Hosting Department. The approval process typically takes two weeks, so please submit requests accordingly, although, they recommend allowing for three weeks of processing time. They will respond to requests in the order received.

Please note: observers must already have identified a host. The Visiting Observer Program does not provide the service of finding a host for observers, and they do not have any resources to direct observers on how to locate one.

    International Medical Students
International medical student inquiring about the opportunity for a rotation or clerkship should either visit https://med.stanford.edu/clerkships/international.html for information about the Stanford School of Medicine International Visiting Student Program (IVS), or email visiting-MD-students@stanford.edu.
