Stanford Neurosurgery Clinical Instructor Dr. Paul D. McGeoch and Visiting Scholar Dr. JasonMcKeown have received FDA approval for Modius Lean, a non-invasive weight-management device. This is their third FDA-cleared product, following Modius Sleep for insomnia and Modius Calm for anxiety.
Built on neuromodulation research, the Modius platform delivers low-level electrical stimulation to brain regions involved in metabolic regulation, offering a non-pharmacologic approach to weight management. The work reflects Stanford Medicine’s commitment to translating neuroscience insights into real-world health Solutions.
“When careful science is turned into a device doctors can prescribe, we’re giving patients more options and taking meaningful steps toward better metabolic health,” McKeown said.
