
Welcome Erika Solis to the Research Development Team in Neurology and Neurosurgery!
Erika transferred from the Biology Department at the Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences, where she worked 18 months as a highly motivated administrative associate. Prior to her work with the Biology Department, Erika worked 11 years as a research associate at the UC Davis MIND Institute in Sacramento, CA with the Infant Sibling Study looking into early predictors of autism.
Erika earned her Bachelors of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior from UC Davis with a minor in Psychology. She comes to the School of Medicine seeking a new challenge to grow personally and professionally. She is passionate about learning and leveraging character-building experiences.
A few fun facts about Erika:
- Erika served as a co-leader in the Social Skills Program at the UCD MIND Institute, coaching children with autism and ADHD on topics such as greeting, self-awareness, self-advocacy, and other skills.
- She resides in downtown Palo Alto.
- She enjoys reading and writing about personal development and is obsessed with Harvard Business Review books.
- Erika was a bus driver in college and used to compete in Bay Area judo competitions.
