Dear Neurosurgery community:
For many years, Julie Golding has been the Institutional official for Neurosurgery at the Research Management Group. With the increase volume of proposal submissions, RMG has added a second RPM to the department to help balance workload and approve efficiency.
- Last names beginning with the letters A-V, Julie Golding will remain the point of contact/institutional official at RMG.
- Last names beginning with the letters W-Z, Jacob Ray will be the point of contact/institutional official at RMG.
Jacob is new to Stanford University but has been pursuing a career in research administration since 2017. He has worked in pre- and postaward positions in the central office at North Carolina State University and divisions within the School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. During COVID, Jacob and his family relocated to Texas where he worked as a preaward Proposal Manager within the College of Science at the University of North Texas. He is passionate about his career path and is looking forward to partnering with Stanford Neurosurgery faculty and staff in the coming months. Jacob has spent the last three weeks onboarding to his new RPM position and will continue to work closely with his trainer, Mariela Abbott, until he achieves signature authority.
Jacob has meet with Julie and she provided him with background on the faculty’s past and current activities. Julie will finish any requests she has already started and will serve as an ongoing resource to Jacob. They are both on RMGs Team M and huddle together daily. New requests should be directed to Jacob or Julie starting Monday, February 13th.
