Dear Colleagues,
In FY22, School of Medicine new sponsored research awards totaled $1.5 billion – another banner year that reflects our faculty’s preeminence in their respective fields and the transformative nature of their work. We’re grateful to have such a skilled and dedicated group advancing our mission to generate new knowledge for the benefit of the world.
While grants are vital to academic research, we recognize that successful grant submissions require significant investments of time and resources. Please know we are committed to streamlining the application process. To that end, we have developed a new method for obtaining institutional letters of support from the School of Medicine. Requests for letters of support can be made using the following links:
If support is needed with letters for T32 applications, faculty can contact Senior Associate Dean for Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs Dr. Sheri Krams (smkrams@stanford.edu).
We hope this and other changes we will implement serve to increase efficiencies and enable our faculty to spend more time doing the most enjoyable parts of discovery.
Thank you for all that you do for Stanford Medicine.
Sincerely,
Lloyd Minor, MD
Dean, Stanford School of Medicine
Ruth O’Hara, PhD
Senior Associate Dean for Research, Stanford School of Medicine
