At #SNS2026, Shanna Selsor presented a national initiative she led through ARANS (Association of Residency Administrators in Neurological Surgery) to develop administrative FTE guidelines for CAST accredited fellowship programs. The project included a national survey of neurosurgical residency administrators, analysis of fellowship growth and administrative workload, and the development of recommendations to align administrative support with trainee volume. The recommendations were subsequently approved by the SNS Executive Council and CAST Leadership. Following her presentation, Shanna received the SNS Residency Program Administrators Award in recognition of her leadership and advocacy on behalf of neurosurgical residency administrators nationwide. We are incredibly proud of her contributions to neurosurgical education, program administration, and to have her as part of our Stanford Neurosurgery leadership team!
