Step Up Challenge
The Wellness Committee is excited to announce a department walking challenge where we can track our steps together as a group. We’ll be using an app to monitor our individual steps and total group progress. The goal is to stay active and have fun with colleagues, in-person and on the app.
Starting February 19th we’ll track our steps for six weeks (ends March 26th with a team celebration).
Together we’ll work to achieve the equivalent distance in steps of walking from San Francisco to Denver –1,266 miles! Or can we go further? The more who join the farther we go!!!!
Step Up App
To join simply download the StepUp Pedometer Step Counter from your app store. The app tracks daily and weekly individual steps plus displays a group total.
Join the “Neurosurgery Dept Steps Challenge” group on the StepUp App. Get the app & tap the link again to join: https://join.thestepupapp.com/9ADh
You can sync your wearable device or phone with the app to log your steps automatically. Remember to open the app daily to track your steps as the app does not “refresh in the background”.
Weekly Walks
To help everyone achieve their goals, we’ll be organizing two department-sponsored weekly lunchtime walks. One walk will start at CAM and meet on Wednesdays at 11:30AM. The second walk will start outside of MSLS and meet on Fridays at 11:30AM. We’ll plan to walk for about 30 minutes.
